Day 1 at Disneyland, Family Vacation 2013 and John's 25th Birthday!

After a restless night of sleep it was finally the BIG day! We were both so so so so so so so so sooooooo Exctied to be on Vacation just the two of us! But, even more excited to be at Disneyland! It's just so magical and we are both the biggest kids at heart! We went to breakfast at the hotel... it was interesting eating breakfast by the pool and then we were off for a fun filled MAGICAL day! Of course I had to wear my ears! And John was so excited to get his BIRTHDAY pin!

We got our picture taken right when we made it inside the gate! I told John we had to take lots of pictures. This was for his birthday, all about him, and I didn't want to forget it! The first thing he wanted to do was get a fast pass for Star Tours, so that's what we did! We headed straight for Tomorrow Land!

It wasn't too busy like we had expected for the holiday we pretty much walked on to Buzz after getting a fast pass for Star Tours and we only waited like 25 minutes for Space Mountain, which is my personal favorite! After that we went to the big hat store and John tried a bunch of hats on before he picked decided on the pirate hat! and he wore it every single day! We then rode Matterhorn, that's Bruce's favorite and he wanted us to send him a picture, plus, not a long line again! We were beating the rush every time! We pretty much did everything in tomorrow land except Nemo, long line, and Autopia, we just didn't feel like it! Then we rode Star Tours, boy was I glad we got a fast pass, and then believe it or not after we got off we actually saw a Star Trooper! John was so excited! Then we said farewell to Tomorrow Land took a picture in front of the castle and headed off to Adventure Land!

The Love of my LIFE! I tried to make his birthday extra special and magical! So did all the cast members at Disneyland! He had over 50 people tell him Happy Birthday!

Adventure Land was a little more busy, but boy did we have fun! We visited Tarzan's tree house, snuggled up on pirates with my pirate, wink wink, and then we used our fast pass for Indiana Jones! Afterwards, we went to Pizza Planet, at least that's what John refers to it as, he made it very clear that he wanted to eat there for his birthday! Well, funny story, on the way there I saw the old Aladin theater was opened and I wanted to go inside and show John and check it out, we walk up and there are some people just standing there not moving. So I ask, what can you do here? They look at me with the weirdest face and say it's a couples bathroom... I said, oh okay and John and I walked off snickering, hahahah they probably thought we were the weirdest people ever! All you can do is laugh right? We then made it to the Pizza Planet and  it  sure was delicious! He got pizza and I got a salad, plus, we then shared some pasta! Yummm, and boy was I stuffed!

That afternoon we decided to enjoy ourselves and spend sometime in the innovation center! What a great view from the top! John really liked all the technology! We had a really great time playing the Kinnect, racing, and seeing what our future would look like!

We then briefly visited Fantasy-land! We looked in a lot of the shops and sneaked around Princess Aurora's Castle! I loved the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique where all the little girls were being transformed into BEAUTIFUL princesses at the Royal Salon. What little girl wouldn't want to be a princess for a day?? We also looked up our name in this book. We think it was to see if you have Knight ancestry... we did find our name in it! And John really liked all of the swords! and of course he had to try pulling the sword out of the stone!!

The only ride we rode in Fantasy-Land was the tea cups! Everything else was way to busy so we decided to wait until it got later! So we headed to critter country on the Train! John like seeing the dinosaurs and stuff on the train! He had never been on it before! We made it to critter country and we rode Splash Mountain and we didn't even get that wet! It was so much fun! We then rode Pooh Bear one of my other personal favorites! Brings back so many memories from childhood and I got a Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich and we headed back to the Hotel for a much needed Nap!

We later returned to Disneyland and rode more rides in Fantasy-Land it was WAY less crowded, except Peter Pan, it ALWAYS has the longest ride! But, we decided to wait on that! The last one we rode was Alice in Wonderland and then we found the perfect spot to watch the Fireworks! One of my favorite things to do at Disneyland! John saved our spot while I got us hand-dipped corn dogs, which were AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! After the fireworks we ran over to Fantasmic, which was AMAZING! John had never seen it before! His favorite was watching Peter Pan and Captain Hook on the pirate ship! The look on his face was absolutely priceless!

We TRULY had a MAGICAL day together at the happiest place on earth!
