July Journal

07.06.15
I bought bath tub paints and colored foam and they have both been a big hit! this little man is a fish! i think he could live in the water, especially the tub. He will take multiple baths a day if you let him.

07.07.15
Daddy you're my hero! i love the look on naenae face in this picture. The way those big brown eyes are gazing up at his daddy! he loves doing everything John does and every once in a blue moon he likes to snuggle. I'm so glad i caught it on camera. We've also been super into coloring books. We had an accident today and dropped the entire bucket of crayons on the floor, but he was a big boy and picked it up himself...he kept saying "i do it" "i do it"

  07.09.15
we have a new obsession with sticks, any kind, any size, any where. we've mastered the thumbs up!

07.10.15
I really like doing puzzles with mommy. i got this button puzzle at Ross for a steal of a deal and it is super fun and i think it's super CUTE! he's getting really good at matching the big buttons with the correct shape.

 07.12.15
This sequence of pictures melts my heart! John is so good at taking the time to sit and play with his boy. In these moments I think time stands still... i take a deep breath, exhale, admire, and treasure the men in my life!

07.14.15
Share a coke with Naethanael (the spelling will never be the same)

07.20.15
We bought bikes! we've been planning to do this for a while and we finally did it! excited for all the memories to be made!

7.21.15
This made me laugh so hard! he ran out of his room, "mommy LOOK" he dressed himself in his swimsuit, put on his green lantern cape, iron man mask, and was using the fishing net scoop we use to clean out our plastic pool as his sword! AND THE BIG PLUS he held still long enough for me to take a picture.

07.23.15
We spend a ton of time at the park. I'm grateful for the beautiful weather in Winnemucca that allows us to spend so much time outside this summer! this boy has endless energy i wish i could bottle some up and take a big swig. he keeps me busy and smiling! he loves to climb on everything, anything, and anyone. The world is his jungle gym

Popsicle Painting

I thought it would be fun to make flags for the upcoming holiday! The kids had so much fun! Naethanael loves to paint and I love crafting. They all turned out great and each one unique!

The girls borrowed Izzy to model for Brina 4th of July photo shoot! she is such a princess! and Brina is so Beautiful! I loved the pictures and thought I would share

Visit to Grammy and Grandpa's House

So my family recently moved from Nevada to Idaho so John, NaeNae and I planned a trip to go see them and the new home.  It was a long drive (6 1/2 hours) and we arrived super late but besides the drive we had a blast in Idaho! John stayed for the weekend and went back home to work while Nae Nae and I stayed and played for two weeks!  What a beautiful place! Plus, I got to talk to Megan when she called from the airport on the way to Oklahoma that was a BIG BONUS.

We had so much fun at Rigby lake over the weekend! and it was a bonus getting to see Heidi and her boys before they move to New York! the Lake was very cold, but we had a lot of fun. We even rented paddle boards, that was an experience, I think John swam the length of the lake twice to help the kids! Nae Nae loved the sand especially.

We went on many ranger rides! Nae Nae loved the ranger a lot. Every time the driver would stop driving he would say "Go, Go, Go"

We played at the Park... and look at how Naethanael ate his fruit snacks! can't believe my mom caught that in the picture. Silly boy!

I pulled out Andrews first loose tooth and he was so PROUD he grinned from ear to ear for the rest of the night and ran around the house "Look, my tooth it's gone... wanna see my tooth it came out!" My mom and I also snuck a treat when we went grocery shopping! I haven't had a creamie in ages!  Yummy!

We tried lots of new recipes and made yummy treats! Including, no bake cookies, brownies, scotcharoos, pumpkin cookies! and Honey Lime Enchilada, Carne-asada in the Crockpot, Root-beer Pulled Pork, Homemade Mac-n-cheese! When I took the picture of nae nae eating this Cookie I had a mommy moment... Look how big my baby is! he's looking like a little boy! Please stop growing handsome man...

NaeNae loved playing with his Uncle's and all of his Uncle's toys! especially the superheroes and dress up clothes! He soaked up all of the attention from his Aunts and Grammy and Grandpa just adore him! he loved watching a movie and snuggling with Grandpa on the couch.

A couple days before my birthday my mom and I went on a date and she spoiled me! She treated me to a Pedicure and took me to lunch at Cafe Rio. I also got a manicure and we ran a couple errands! JoJo watched Naethanael for me so I could enjoy some time away. I felt so very loved!

Family Home Evening, June

We've had a couple fun FHE lessons this month. We talked about being Happy and having a Happy face! and we talked about Jesus is happy when we choose the right! FHE with a toddler is difficult, but I know it is most important that we spend time as a family! We also went to the indoor swimming pool one Monday this month and had a lot of fun swimming together and we got ice cream afterwards!

Picture Perfect Father's Day

These pictures capture the love and admiration they have for each other perfectly! He is Naethanael's favorite Super Hero by far! they are best friends! John glows every time he talks about NaeNae and when they laugh together time stands still.

This Father's Day I got to spend it not only with my Husband who is the sweetest most patient daddy to our little boy, but also my dad! I haven't done that since I've been married. We were so excited to be in Idaho with family! and my mom's Father's Day dinner was delicious! I was impressed with her meatloaf wrapped in bacon. We ended the day with all the kiddos tucked in and turned on McFarland!

Ice, Ice, Baby!

Farewell Coo Coo, We LOVE you!

I was so happy and so grateful my sister could come spend a couple days with us before she leaves on her mission. She helped me unpack and organize our rental, we set up her mission blog, she played with NaeNae, he wanted to do everything coo coo did and he really wanted her to read him stories. He loves his auntie and I love my sister. I can't wait to see the people she is going to bless and how much she is going to learn and grow in Oklahoma!

Home Sweet Home. Winnemucca, NV

May 29th was a day like any other day, we woke up, we went to school (NaeNae and I), John went to work. You wouldn't even know at 5:00 that night we were packing our belongings inside a truck and moving across the state. But, we did! Friday was a hard day, a lot of hard and sad goodbyes, for exciting beginnings.

John and I have known Las Vegas wasn't going to be our home for forever, we've been praying and discussing the next chapter of our life for over a year now. Everything fell in to place rather quickly and before we knew it we were driving to Northern Nevada, to a place we've never been before, to a house we've never seen, to a town that's 8 miles long. A leap of faith, the unknown, nerves, sad tears, excitement and anticipation. Winnemucca, Nevada is the place we now call home!

Selling our house was hard. very hard. it was our first home. We brought both our babies home to that home. We finished school together in our home, we got real jobs in our first home, we celebrated, we shed tears, we laughed, we made it a HOME! and I desperately miss it, but I know we are where we're supposed to be. We cherish the ward family and many friendships we left in Las Vegas and are looking forward to meeting new people to share our home and hearts with in Winnemucca!

The move seemed like a perfect time to switch NaeNae to a big boy bed. Took a couple nights of consistency and explaining that we DO NOT get off our big boy bed, but we were successful!  YAY!
