Oh how I love every trip I take to Colorado! This one was especially perfect cause I got to take my husband to see it for the first time! I'm pretty sure he fell in love the moment he stepped off the plane, just like I did on my very first trip to visit Taylor! It helped a lot because he got Chick Fillet! Thank goodness their are plenty of those spread around! That's the one thing he wanted for his birthday! So of course I had to take a picture. He was such a good sport since we had to travel on his birthday! He always has the best attitude! But, what can I say? I didn't know the man I would marry someday would have a birthday two days before my BFFLA and this year is a pretty big year for us! We both turn 21 and she is going on a mission to New Jersey! That's why we had to travel to Colorado on John's birthday! We had to be their for her farewell! Which, with my help she wrote the day before she had to give her talk on her birthday! She did marvelous though, I am so proud of her! and even though I will miss her like crazy, I will support her like crazy! I promised her a letter a week, I hope I can do it! My parents also came with us, they took me and John out to lunch in Las Vegas, we got on the plane and then we all went to dinner, and we ended the night with John's favorite pie and happy birthday celebration at the Cox's house!
The following day we went to the Denver, Colorado Temple! It looked beautiful in the snow! It's a much smaller temple, but boy was it busy! I've never had to park so far away... We couldn't even park in the parking lot! It was full.... and I was freezing on our walk down the hill, but it was worth it! Once we got inside the temple they also gave us a number, I had never been given a number before. Taylor told us it's always like this on Saturdays. What a neat experience to see so many people wanting to serve. Now, I wish I had been given a number before. What a Joy it would be to go to the Las Vegas Temple and see it that busy! My heart was touched that day... to be able to attend the temple with my BFFLAE, my parents, boys from high school, my husband.... what a remarkable place to be at this point in our lives, I am so grateful to have a little piece of heaven on this earth, what a beautiful refuge!
Monday wasn't as eventful as Sunday, but we still had a fabulous time! We got Jamba Juice! It's a Taylor and Alicia Tradition and then Taylor drove us up to the Broadmoore Hotel and Resort to see the surrounding houses, these houses were breathtaking! They were humongous and gorgeous! The one below I had to take a picture of! I told John if we ever became millionaires I would want a house like this! I love the architecture and the Ivy. I especially love the windows and the big wooden front door! and the staircase.. okay you get the point I love it! The only thing I would change is maybe I wouldn't quite want it to be so big! John, liked looking at the houses too, but his favorite was the beautiful GREEN golf course! I think that's what sold him on the idea of moving to Colorado! So at least I finally got him to consider it! Also, the morning before we flew home he found a leather Jacket that he fell in LOVE with too! and I personally think he looked very sexy in it!
