The Day of LOVE!!!

Our first Valentine Married!! I love the bag I got at the store for John! I had it all planned out so I could door bell ditch him because its tradition, but there was no where to hide because we live on the third floor in our apartment and I was worried I may trip running down the stairs! So I told him I will give it to him easy this year, but next year he would have to find me!!
I was so excited when I found this card at the store!! Normally I like making my own cards, but I saw this when I was walking by at work and I had to get it!! It had two penguins on it, which are Johns favorite animal so I couldn't pass it up!!
See look at that face!!! Pricesless!! It was worth every single penny!! He LOVED it!!

This was a complet surprise! I know John isn't a dad yet, but we went and saw the movie together because my parents said it was really good and John really liked it! Plus, I know John is going to be a great dad someday so I wanted to get it for him!

I really love this movie poster and what it says, "Honor Begins at home." This movie really tells a great message and the importance of fatherhood and family. The resolution that the men make in the movie is very touching. They pledge to rise up and be men of courage, to be great fathers.

“So where are you, men of courage? I believe every father should step up and answer the call and say “I WILL!”

I believe both my father and my father in-law are men of courage! and this is something I'm so grateful for. to have grown up with a father who was always there for me, loved me, taught me everything, always stood by my side, encouraged me, was an example to me and everyone else around me, and taught me the gospel. I'm also grateful to have an amazing husband who I know is going to be a man of courage as well!!

The Resolution

I do solemnly resolve before God to take full responsibility for myself, my wife, and my children. I WILL love them, protect them, serve them, and teach them the Word of God as the spiritual leader of my home. I WILL be faithful to my wife, to love and honor her, and be willing to lay down my life for her as Jesus Christ did for me. I WILL bless my children and teach them to love God with all of their hearts, all of their minds, and all of their strength. I WILL train them to honor authority and live responsibly. I WILL confront evil, pursue justice, and love mercy. I WILL pray for others and treat them with kindness, respect, and compassion. I WILL work diligently to provide for the needs of my family. I WILL forgive those who have wronged me and reconcile with those I have wronged. I WILL learn from my mistakes, repent of my sins, and walk with integrity as a man answerable to God. I WILL seek to honor God, be faithful to His church, obey His Word, and do His will. I WILL courageously work with the strength God provides to fulfill this resolution for the rest of my life and for His glory.
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. —Joshua 24:15

This was my romantic Valentines surprise!! John set the whole thing up and took me completely by surprise! It was so sweet I especially love how he bought the candles! It was my very first candlelight dinner!! Awwww how romantic, right?? Just like in the movies!! He made chicken fettuccine and salad! haha probably one of the only things he can make! But, it's the thought that counts I absolutely loved every single second of it! I had to take a picture with the lights on so you could see the whole set up, but the picture below captures the feeling as if you were there!!

After dinner John surprised me with my valentines gift! It was so cute! He got me the Winnie the Pooh movie!! I had absolutely no idea! I think I mentioned to him once that Winnie the pooh was my favorite when I was little!! So I watched it that night! I love anything disney! I'm a fanatic! I have a huge disney collection of my own already!
To wrap up the night we made dessert together! We made cook cookies! Very simple, yet very delicious!!  It was the Perfect first valentines married EVER!!!
