We Bought a House!!
We first started looking for houses when we first decided to move to las vegas! We actually found one in henderson we really liked, but it was a short sale... We started working on all the papers and the process before we were even married! Well after 7 months of waiting and living in Marks house for about a month after moving to henderson we decided ya know maybe we will just get an apartment for a year and see how it goes.. who knows how long we will stay here anyway??? So we got an apartment and about a week later guess what?? The house was done! It finally cleared my dad called and said Janet was getting ready to back out on everything and they informed her they were finally ready to move forward.. So what do you guys want to do... Well together we decided it wasn't the right time and a place to get a house so we said no... got our money back and found our cute little apartment on the very edge of henderson! Well in January of 2012 we decided maybe we should look for a house again... our apartment lease would be up in June and right now is a really good time to buy! So we looked and we looked... and we fell in love with house after house.... and house after house we were 1 offer to late the bank had already accepted someone else's offer. We definitely learned our lesson the first time and decided this time we were only going for foreclosures! Shad Williams was our realtor and he did a really good job at finding houses for us... we were always just 2 seconds behind though if you know what I mean??
So I was getting all down on the house hunt after one house fell through that I really loved and I wanted to give up... but John assured me when it was the right house in the right area on the right street it would work out! So I said okay! Well we knew what area we liked.. in fact the exact neighborhood we wanted so we looked at three houses in the same neighborhood! and I found my favorite house out of all the houses we had ever looked at! I didn't let myself get too excited at first because I didn't want to get my hopes up and my heart broken again when we didn't get the house, but this time it was the right house in the right place and after signing the papers today it is officially ours!! The house isn't perfect and it has a lot of little fix me up projects that need to be done, but I can't wait to work on it together and turn it into our first home!! We closed at a little over $100,000 for a 2006 home four bedrooms 2 1/2 bath, and a 2 car garage, with a little bit of a backyard (and I mean a little, but what do you expect in Vegas?? there is 2 community pools and parks in the neighborhood so it all worked out great!)!!!! We signed the papers at noon today and should expect the keys in two days when I'm out of town with my mom at women's conference! I told John he can't go over there without me he has to wait till I get home!

The Old Blue Couch...
Welcome home Elder Ruesch!
Well it's about time I met Mason! He has definitely been missed! John and Mason are best friends! I can't tell you how many stories I have heard about Mason Ruesch and the great BROTHER he is! I wrote him while he was on his mission a couple times and I helped John put together a couple of great packages! But, I couldn't wait to meet him in person! He really is a great guy and now I know why John missed him so much! They're brothers and always will be! Mason looked great in his european attire! John was insanely jealous he told me when we make it to england one day he is coming home with a suite like that! Megan and I couldn't get over his shoes! I thought they were great and his talk was amazing!

One scary night...
It was a very scary night rushing my husband to the ER. The scariness and the worry didn't stop once we got their either. Once he got checked in he wasn't put on a very high priority so they took his blood pressure gave him a breathing treatment and then they had us go back to the waiting room, he passed out in my arms after trying to stand up getting dizzy and then he blacked out... I had to yell for help. Then they finally admitted him to the hospital. After a very long night, a visit from my parents, my dad and cousin gave John a blessing, my mom brought me some dinner, lots of tests, a spinal tap, and a really big scare that he had all the signs and symptoms of meningitis, finally the test results came back and they ruled that out. After his nausea was under control, the cold shivers and chills went away, his extremely high fever finally broke, and he began to get a little color back in his face they finally said we could go home. They decided that he just had a viral flu. A very bad bug that was targeting his body and his body couldn't put up the fight; they said he needed lots of rest and it would take a couple weeks for him to get his strength back. I was so relieved to finally here some good news and take John out to the car! I was nervous when he couldn't even walk to the car without getting nauseous again, but someone helped me wheel John out to the car and I assisted him into the car. I picked up his prescription to take him home and I prayed in my heart that somehow I would be able to assist John up three flights of stairs. After what felt like it took forever and a small miracle, we finally made it up the stairs and John felt comfort in sleeping in his own bed. I am so blessed and grateful for John and his recovery.
