It was a very scary night rushing my husband to the ER. The scariness and the worry didn't stop once we got their either. Once he got checked in he wasn't put on a very high priority so they took his blood pressure gave him a breathing treatment and then they had us go back to the waiting room, he passed out in my arms after trying to stand up getting dizzy and then he blacked out... I had to yell for help. Then they finally admitted him to the hospital. After a very long night, a visit from my parents, my dad and cousin gave John a blessing, my mom brought me some dinner, lots of tests, a spinal tap, and a really big scare that he had all the signs and symptoms of meningitis, finally the test results came back and they ruled that out. After his nausea was under control, the cold shivers and chills went away, his extremely high fever finally broke, and he began to get a little color back in his face they finally said we could go home. They decided that he just had a viral flu. A very bad bug that was targeting his body and his body couldn't put up the fight; they said he needed lots of rest and it would take a couple weeks for him to get his strength back. I was so relieved to finally here some good news and take John out to the car! I was nervous when he couldn't even walk to the car without getting nauseous again, but someone helped me wheel John out to the car and I assisted him into the car. I picked up his prescription to take him home and I prayed in my heart that somehow I would be able to assist John up three flights of stairs. After what felt like it took forever and a small miracle, we finally made it up the stairs and John felt comfort in sleeping in his own bed. I am so blessed and grateful for John and his recovery.
