First of all a big shout out to Grammy and Papa for making this trip possible and watching our baby boy! Second of all I started out HATING San Fran, the traffic made me want to pull out my hair, however slowly as timed pass my heart slowly fell in love with the BEAUTY of San Francisco! We made our GRAND ENTRANCE by driving over the GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE definitely a highlight of the trip!
Day Two! We ate a delicious big breakfast at IHop and we found a parking spot and we stayed put hahahaha! We LOVED every second we spent at Golden Gate Park! probably my favorite part of our trip! We went to the DE YOUNG museum! How could we not? we even bought a book so we can learn about the DE YOUNG the museum is named after, apparently he was one of the richest men in San Fran! we loved the view from the observation tower! This city is amazing the architecture is stunning and the old houses and buildings breathtaking!
We also went to the Japanese Tea Garden, how peaceful and beautiful! It was so lovely walking through the Garden arm in arm with my honey, talking and admiring the beauty that surrounded us! The flowers were exquisite! the bridge! John walked up and down it, but I was a chicken.
Lastly, we had to make up four our lack of romance the day before on Valentines day and john rented a paddle boat! It was so romantic my very own Notebook moment! This bridge! gorgeous it was as if we were in a movie, the trees towering over us, the birds chirping!, my husband, the love of my life! I enjoyed every second of it!
We ended the day by watching the sunset at Baker Beach! the view of the Golden Gate bridge was picturesque! We walked along the beach toes in the sand took lots of pictures and were shocked by the many nude people we saw on the beach! Mostly we enjoyed one another's company as we cuddled on the beach and watched the sunset! it was a night to remember, it was much needed, like I said San Fran had to win my heart back, and at this moment it did!
Last Day in San Fran we went to the Walt Disney Museum and we LOVED it I knew Walt was a pretty cool person I mean i LOVE disneyland and disney movies, BUT WOW he was an AMAZINGLY hardworking, creative, ambitious, and talented person! I really enjoyed the time we spent in the museum it was definitely worth the money and our time! On the way to the museum we stopped at the full house house and we drove past San Fran city hall! it's huge!
Before we bid the bay area goodbye we wen to City Lights Books, I saw this on a travel blog and thought it had John's name written all over it! it was the coolest little book store, books in the basement, books in the attic, books from the ceiling to the floorboards! Afterwards we drove to see AT&T park, and while driving we came across THE AMERICAN GRILLED CHEESE KITCHEN! deliciousness!!!!! seriously these sandwiches were to die for!
