Life Lately

Lately it's been the Mommy and Naethanael show while daddy is at the DPS academy working hard for our family. He's been gone for 8 weeks now and I've tried to keep NaeNae and I busy so we don't sit around and miss daddy to much!

 It wasn't easy for daddy to kiss these sweet babies goodbye, Naethanael was acturally at my parents house and Izzy and I were sleeping when John left, he did kiss me goodbye but it was very early, when I awoke I saw this sweet note he left me on the fridge. Now when he comes home to visit he changes the number! were already half way done and we can't wait for daddy to be back home with us.

NaeNae and I went to Disney on Ice at the Thomas and Mack center with my family! we had a lot of fun and ate a delicious meal at Jason's Deli before the show. I also attempted to cut Naethanael's hair by myself since Maren had her baby and is on Maternity leave. I say attempt because I really messed it up, I even gave him a bald spot on the side of his head, don't ask me how! I learned my lesson and will not be cutting his hair freehand with my scissor ever again! poor little guy! he still rocked the hairdo for a week until we went to AZ and Jenn could fix it! 

 I've had a difficult time taking NaeNae to church by myself I especially miss John on Sunday's... it's the day we always spend together as a family and 1 oclock church with a 2-year-old who should be sleeping! not fun at all... but look at that smile! hahaha looks can be deceiving! mommy loves you very much Naethanael!

When the preschool was closed for Martin Luther King Holiday, NaeNae and I met miss Cyndy and her son at the Springs Preserve! it was the first time I've ever been and I feel like it's not quite age appropriate yet, but it was free and we had a lot of fun! He liked seeing the animals and he liked the play area a lot! The parrot show was pretty cool too! he just didn't like sitting still! we also went in a flood room, he really liked that! Let's just say he had a busy morning because he took a 3 1/2 hour nap! and still didn't want to wake up! when he finally did the two of us went to target and i finally caved and bought him a popcorn! he thought it was the greatest thing ever!

We have so much fun at bath time mostly I love to hear his squeals of excitement and I enjoy our snuggles before bed as I put on his lotion and he thinks I'm trying to tickle him, but really i just LOVE a nice clean and soft baby! Lately, he is obsessed with taking all of his cars in the Wa Wa he drives them along the tub and watches them crash into each other when he pushes them and laughs!
