I was invited by the Daskal Family to join them in Denver for a wedding. I was to play with Matthew and his niece Bailey throughout wedding festivities. This is the first "worldy wedding" I've attended. It was eye opening to see the details/cost of this wedding as it unfolded. The focus was different, it wasn't on the family... The children didn't really get to participate at all. It was sad, I got sad for them until I talked to my hubby on the phone and he said, "you make it a good experience, you have fun with the kids and they won't know what they're missing!"
That is exactly what we did!! Plus, on the bright side I got to sleep in my own king size feather down bed, eat Chick-Fil-A and spend 6+ hours with my best friend! We were able to go on BEAUTIFUL walks, swim, have breakfast at McD's, and the kiddos were obsessed with the hotel elevator!
I truly enjoyed Sunday afternoon, Matthew and I walked to sensory park. We stumbled upon a pond and WOW the world truly is a STUNNING place, I took several moments to ponder the beauty and details of all that god created.
"How comforting and reassuring it is each day as we behold the wonders of the universe and this beautiful world on which we live. We can see His hand in the matchless order with which the heavenly bodies move and the delicate beauty of the flowers and trees and other growing things, all of them bearing silent witness of His existence."
