Our first Mutual Couple Friends

It's been fun getting to know so many people this past year. I never knew how many new friends I would make through previous friends John had and same with him getting to know all of mine! For the most part we both seem to fit in well with each others group of friends, but it is easiest around other couples! Luckily, we have a really great time with our first mutual couple friends the Monroe's and their beautiful little red head Shannon! I met Jessica in one of my classes at dixie; we talked all the time in class and one day she invited me to come over! I had been telling her about this boy I liked at target, but it was complicated. I said, "I know he likes me too, but technically target rules say we aren't supposed to date, since he is security." She basically ignored every word I said, picked up my phone, and texted him saying you should come meet me at my friends house we are going to play some games. Oh, when I found out I screamed. She said, "I'm just helping you out, you will see!" So he did come over, and we did play apples to apples, and her and Dustin made it as awkward as it could be, saying our names every single time they laid down a card that had to do with the slightest bit of romance. I don't think I ever blushed so hard. But, looking back now I am so grateful for every embarrassing thing she did! This picture isn't from that first night... I was actually wearing my hat and I looked like crap, but John said seeing me in that hat is what sealed the deal! Hahahaha he said he knew he loved me when he saw me that night in my hat! Anyhow, we had many fun nights at the Monroe's house, while we were dating, including our first New Years Eve, and the stories about the devil at Walmart! I love Shannon to pieces she is so precious! I volunteered to babysit quit often! I am so happy they are our friends and I am blessed to have them in our lives! I'm so grateful Jessica befriended me on our first day of school, she made me feel like I belonged at dixie! People like her who constantly smile and our ALWAYS friendly are a ray of sunshine!! I love you Jessica!
