For Time and all Eternity, Las Vegas Temple

What a beautiful day; our little angel  joined us dressed all in white in the House of the Lord. We love you so much Naethanael Lee De Young! we are blessed beyond words to call you ours FOREVER! you have brought pure JOY to our lives and overflowing love to our hearts. 

 "While on earth, we can make sacred covenants (promises) with God in the holy temple through priesthood authority. Among these covenants is the opportunity for husbands and wives to be sealed (married for eternity) and their children to be sealed to them. This means that if we keep our covenants with the Lord and each other, death cannot permanently separate us. This sealing ordinance is an essential part of our Heavenly Father’s plan for us to live with Him eternally.Currently, there are 134 temples in operation throughout the world, where worthy Latter-day Saints can make covenants with God and be sealed as families for eternity."

My sister the BSW graduate!

It was our first family trip since John came home and I enjoyed the car ride getting to talk to my Hubby! and I'm grateful Sydnie could watch NaeNae so we could go to the Commencement Address given by Mitt Romney, it was inspiring, he was a great speaker. We went to dinner with the graduate she picked Chili's yum! southwest egg-rolls my absolute fave!  And the next morning we watched Megan walk accross the stage! what a HUGE accomplishment; all her hard work and dedication paid off. So we were so excited when Megan walked in and was sitting in the front on the right side! Score she would walk in the beginning, perfect with a toddler sitting with us. Nope they started on the left side in the front went all the way to the back then went to the right side back..... leaving Megan to walk almost very last! Definitely won't forget that! Naethanael crashed in the parking lot of the college! poor guy was exhausted but he was so excited to see COO COO! he was a champ! 

Blessing Day

What a special day, today Naethanael had his baby blessing in our home! John's blessing was beautiful and a miracle struck! NaeNae sat on my lap and didn't move a muscle. I think he was in aww sitting around the circle of men. We also couldn't get him to smile for picture, but we needed a family picture to remember this special occasion. We love you so much Naethanael you are a special spirit and we treasure you! your smile radiates, your energy is neverending, you make us laugh daily, you are growing up way to fast. Jocelyn was nice enough to let us do the blessing on her Birthday so she picked the meal. BBQ feast!, and my friend Maren helped me make a Rainbow cake on the inside as JoJo requested! We're so grateful for all the family that came to support us. Love poured on us and the spirit was so strong.

Our masterpiece, as long as you didn't look at the back! I didn't take a picture of the inside, but it looked like a neon rainbow and tasted AMAZING! 

Officer De Young

Naethanael and I rode with Grandpa and Grammy to Carson City to watch Daddy graduate from the DPS Academy 71. He did it and we are so proud of him! I cried when he rose his hand and was sworn in as an Officer! I am amazed at his accomplishments, hard work, and dedication! This was not an easy 15 weeks for either of us but together we helped each other remain strong! It was an honor to pin the badge on Officer De Young! I love you so much honey and Naethanael was ecstatic to pick daddy up from camp! 

 

Lovin us some Lily!

We are huge fans of this little girl! We love lovin on Lily! Every time Naethanael see's her the first thing he says is "I hold you!" He is so gentle and sweet with her. We were watching her one Saturday morning and we were driving in the car and she was fussing in the backseat and he said, "Shh, shh, shh it's ok, you ok" I love how he repeats things he hears me or other adults say now. He's a smart little guy and so very loving! He loves to give lily kisses! We took lily to the park with us another Saturday morning while her mommy was at class and she was a little social butterfly! she was telling me stories galore! I sent John these pictures and I told him this is why we need a little girl! look at all this girliness! she is too stinking CUTE! We've also spent a lot of time at lily's house lately whenever mommy is feeling a little lonely we crash at Lily's place! She just brightens up my day! we love you Lily Jean!
